The use of a novel gradient heat flux sensor for characterization of reflux condensation

چکیده

In this paper we present the developments in heat flux measurements using gradient sensors (GHFS). The GHFS is a sensor made of artificially created material with anisotropic thermo-electrical properties. Its properties including small size, robustness and low response time make it valuable addition for characterizing space-limited geometries as well harsh environmental conditions. This makes ideal investigation reflux condensation steam generator tubes pressurized water reactor. condenser mode operation during accident maintenance conditions can provide significant passive cooling, removing residual decay from reactor core, thus preventing or at least delaying potential core uncovery. With novel implementation deeper characterization was achieved.
